We have a wide variety of different stables to suit any horse or pony. We have indoor stables with personal UN-sites to store food, tools and rugs. These stables are in blocks of 6-13 boxes, Outdoor stables for those horses that like to see more going on or that have breathing difficulties, A foaling stable and all that are fitted with automatic water drinkers. There is also 2 big hay barns and 2 small hay sheds where you will have your own space to keep your hay, haylage and straw, With a delivery service that runs from Monday- Friday for all your hay and bedding.
WE OFFER A RANGE OF STABLE SERVICES:
We provide a number of services for you to take advantage of, diy, part and full livery for your horse. We turn and bring in your horse, rug change, hay, feed, muck-out for you and cater for horse that need any extra special treatment by our qualified staff Monday- Sunday. The staff can hold your horse for the blacksmith or vet if your enable to get to the yard at that time Mon-Fri only.
STABLE PADDOCKS FOR HORSES:
At Gothersley we accommodate for all horses, ponies and their owners. If the horse/pony needs a paddock on their own, to a herd of youngsters that need play time, to those that need to keep their weight down or even those older geldings and mares that just want an easy life and relax. We also have small restricted paddocks that are postage stamp size for horses that need re
stricted walking space.
Paddocks have 1-4 horses in each, depending on the horses diet, nature and what the owner prefers. The stable paddocks are rotated through out the year, the ground and grass gets rested and maintained.
Paddocks are maintained to a very high standard. Fields are swept regularly by the paddock cleaner, which removes all muck, moss and dead grass, so you don’t have to do any muck picking. Fields are sprayed yearly for Ragwort, we have ragwort weeks when everyone checks their allocated field to clear, there is still a little to pick to keep onto of it. (customers can pay for us to do if they don’t have time).
All the fencing is mainly post and electric wire, We have sheep wire and electric for the outer fields for the safety of the horses not escaping.
